Isadora Mattos
Journalist and filmmaker in constant learning metamorphosis!
My name is Isadora, I'm 28 years old, I live in Rio de Janeiro and I recently completed my second degree, in Cinema and Audiovisual, at the excellent Veiga de Almeida University (UVA), on the Tijuca campus. To complete the course, I created the short film “Espelho”, which was scripted, produced and directed by me, generating significant results for my career, such as winning the categories “Best Cinematic Short” and “Best Cinematography” at the III Competitive Cinema and Audiovisual Exhibition at Veiga de Almeida University (UVA).Currently, I carry out voluntary work at Sinestesia Produtora in the role of Media Coordinator, in which I carry out the organization, definition, content planning, team administration, monitoring and analysis of performance and metrics, brand building, validation of texts and materials for social networks.As a freelancer and in a variety of jobs (national and international), I also work in the production, creation and research of content, writing and reviewing news and journalistic texts digitally and in print, preparing guidelines, editing images and managing themes. In the audiovisual area, I have already carried out work related to the making off and behind the scenes of projects and, with the recording of my short film, I was able to gain experience in the areas of arts, photography and production.Between 2021 and 2022, I carried out the academic mobility process for the Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication — European University IADE, for the Photography and Visual Culture course. This enabled more learning in the area, focus on aspects of the communication sector, new experiences and knowledge of different cultures.Mid-2021, I participated and worked at the Cinema and Audiovisual Center at Universidade Veiga de Almeida (NCAV). My role was as a writer, content analyst and social media. Previously, in December 2019, through voluntary work, I participated in the Rio Film Festival in the press section as a writer, producing content for the event's website and social media.In 2018, I started my career at Convictiva Comunicação and stayed for one year and five months. There we provided press relations for unions and associations, managing and producing content for social networks (Facebook and Instagram) and their websites with news, articles, creation and formatting of bulletins and newspapers, as well as journalistic coverage of client events.In the same company, we also manage and supply the website and social networks of the client Panorama Offshore, aimed at the oil, gas, energy, onshore and offshore markets.In my monograph at the end of my Journalism degree, I studied the sensationalist journalistic coverage and media spectacularization of landmark cases such as bus 174 and Eloá Pimentel, comparing them with the Sociedade do Espetáculo.My objective as a journalist and filmmaker is to increasingly expand knowledge in the area, as well as the development and improvement of professions.
